The oldest Chinese oracle. Focus on a single question and toss three coins six times — each line is built from the bottom up to create the hexagram.
The result is symbolic and meant for entertainment — it is not a substitute for oracle readings or professional advice.
You toss three coins six times. Heads count as 3, tails as 2. A total of 6 or 8 results in a broken line (yin), while 7 or 9 results in a solid line (yang). Lines with 6 and 9 are changing lines.
If you have changing lines, we flip them to create a second hexagram. This reflects the direction in which the situation is evolving.
Ask openly about one matter: “How should I approach…?”, “What should I know about…?”. The I Ching offers guidance rather than simply answering yes or no.
Traditionally, it is a book of wisdom about change, not a fortune-telling oracle. It helps you view your situation from a different perspective.
