People once drew lines in the sand and counted whether they were odd or even. Four random figures — the Mothers — create the entire shield, crowned by the Judge who answers your question.
The result is symbolic and meant for entertainment — it is not a substitute for oracle readings or professional advice.
A form of divination that has been practiced since the Middle Ages in North Africa and Europe. The answer is interpreted from figures consisting of one or two dots arranged in four rows.
Four random figures (Mothers) yield four Daughters; pairs form Nieces, followed by two Witnesses, and then the Judge. The Judge is always one of the eight 'even' figures.
The Judge represents the final answer. Favorable figures (e.g. Fortuna Major, Laetitia) indicate yes; unfavorable ones (e.g. Carcer, Tristitia) suggest no or not yet.
It's a symbolic oracle for introspection. It provides guidance, not a definitive verdict.
